Job description

NXAI is an Austrian AI research company located in Linz, where advanced research is transformed into real-world impact. Our focus is on next-generation xLSTM models and their industrial applications. Together with a strong network of partners, we are creating a leading center for AI innovation in Linz — and we are looking for an AI Solutions Manager (f/m/d) to join our Applied Research team on this journey.

This role is ideal for individuals who want to excel at the intersection of hands-on technical development, project management and direct customer interaction. You'll be responsible for coordinating projects, translating our cutting-edge research into deployable solutions, and serving as the primary interface for our industrial partners.

Your responsibilities

  • Managing the entire project lifecycle— from scoping to successful delivery to the customer.

  • Translating research results, such as novel xLSTM based algorithms, into production-ready solutions for various fields like time series, computer vision or robotics.

  • Acting as the main technical liaison for customers, including demos, workshops and requirements gathering.

  • Developing and optimizing models within a highly-skilled engineering team, taking care of data pipelines and ensuring that AI solutions are seamlessly integrated into customer environments.

  • Coordinating across research, engineering and product teams to ensure a clear flow of information to all stakeholders.

Job requirements

What you bring to the table

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML engineering, applied research or technical project management.

  • Solid understanding of machine learning including transformers, LSTMs, attention mechanisms, model development (PyTorch) and data pipelines for time series.

  • Familiarity with model deployment and optimization with PyTorch, ONNX, TensorRT, TorchScript.

  • Strong project management skills (agile methods, milestone planning, cross-team coordination) and ability to balance technical detail with business requirements and delivery goals.

  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in customer-facing settings.

What you’ll get

  • A central role linking research, product and customer success.

  • Competitive salary in line with the market, plus a tailored benefits package. Starting salary is €3,843 gross per month. Depending on your profile and your development potential within the team, a significant overpayment is of course possible. The salary is paid 14 times per year.

  • Opportunity to work with top academic and industrial partners.

  • Benefit from a diverse and high-performing team at the forefront of AI innovation, where professional excellence is the guiding principle.
