Job description
At NXAI, we're always excited to meet forward-thinking minds eager to shape the future of AI. Our team is at the forefront of cutting-edge technology and innovative solutions and we're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Manager (f/m/d) to support our growing business operations.
You'll have the opportunity to start part-time (starting from 30 hours per week) – with the option to gradually increase your hours and responsibilities. The role begins as hands-on and operational, but quickly evolves: As you gain experience, you'll take on more strategic topics and grow into a key role. Over time, there's also potential to develop into a leadership position.
Your responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Reporting: You create clear, insightful reports (monthly reports, cash flow management, budgets, etc.) to ensure financial goals are aligned with operational strategies.
Investor & Relations: You support communication with existing investors and assist in the acquisition of new investors.
Cash Management: You plan payment flows, manage bank transactions and ensure reliable liquidity control.
Accounting in your hands: You take care of the accurate recording of financial data and contribute to the efficient management of income and expenses. You coordinate the external preparation of annual financial statements.
Grants & Subsidies: You coordinate the preparation of grant applications, populate them with the required data from the organization and support communication with funding bodies.
Job requirements
You may be a good fit if you have:
Several years of professional experience in accounting, controlling, auditing or management consulting
Solid knowledge in financial planning and reporting.
Desire for a role that balances analytical thinking with financial and entrepreneurial understanding – and you want to help actively shape financial structures in a fast-paced tech environment.
Talent to efficiently manage multiple tasks while keeping deadlines firmly in sight.
Solid understanding of business contracts and can evaluate key content with confidence.
Nice to have: Experience with funding management and submitting grant applications.
What you'll get:
Flexibility that fits your life: This role can be structured as part-time or full-time and is hybrid by design – ideal if you're looking for both spatial and time flexibility - whether for balancing personal commitments or to work in a dynamic environment without compromising on career development opportunities. Work from our creative hub in the Tabakfabrik Linz or from your home office.
A clear growth path: We’ll support your personal development - you can take on more responsibility step-by-step with the goal of evolving toward a finance leadership or future CFO role. This role offers the chance to actively contribute to building efficient systems that support the company’s growth and success.
Real impact: Help shape the financial processes of a rapidly scaling tech company with global reach and a strong brand presence.
Competitive compensation: A market-aligned salary package tailored to your experience, plus individual benefits. Starting salary is €3,175 gross per month. Depending on your profile and your development potential within the team, a significant overpayment is of course possible. The salary is paid 14 times per year.
An exceptional team: Work alongside a diverse and highly qualified team in the cutting-edge field of artificial intelligence – where excellence and innovation are the guiding principles. Our latest AI model even surpasses those of Google and other leading tech companies.
